Although the building warrant took time to be granted, the renovation & refurbishment began in March 2006. The initial stage has been the completion of a 6 bedroom extension in the main car park. This is not connected to the hotel but the interior is to the highest quality - under floor heating, flat screen television, SKY, wet room & private parking.
The hotel is finally now open & properly functioning after its major refurbishment programme. Complete hotel re-wiring, installation of central heating & an ecological biomass wood chip burner, complete bedroom & bathroom renovation, assisted facilities & bedrooms, new furnishings, newly decorated bar restaurant, new kitchen, upgraded fire system, new fire escape & lift installation. A new brochure will be published in May, along with photographs on the website.
Lovat Arms offers 29 exceptional bedrooms, all en-suite with tecnologically advanced facilities & designed with a contemporary modern interior. All rooms are fitted with a new computerised central heating system with energy provided by the eco friendly bio-mass wood chip burner. A lift accesses all floors & 2 ground floor bedrooms are available for those requiring assisted facilities.
All rooms are comfortable with that added hotel quality that makes a stay special. Each bedroom offers domesticated appliances: hairdryer, iron & ironing board along with soothing bathroom spa products supplied by Scottish Fine Soaps.
